This multiplayer project, created by the British studio Lucid Games, looks like a car derby. Here are a variety of characters with their cars, who seek to smash the vehicles of rivals to the trash in futuristic arenas.
The brief description from Sony reads: “Destruction AllStars is a sporting event in which drivers battle each other. The goal is to destroy as many cars as possible." It seems that the drivers themselves, even having lost their iron friend, can continue to participate in the competition, trying to destroy other people's cars.
Lucid Games is perhaps best known for Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions, which was released on multiple platforms. However, Destruction AllStars looks set to be a full PS5 exclusive and won't even be coming to PC. The launch time of the game has not yet been announced, and the PlayStation 5 itself should enter the market in the fall of 2020.
