Dev 2.1

Devuan is a Linux distribution created by Debian to provide alternative init software to systemd and alternative dependencies for the functions and libraries offered by systemd. The latest release of the project is Devuan 2.1, which makes it easier to choose between SysV init and OpenRC during installation. The distribution no longer offers ARM or virtual machine images, and the option to exclude proprietary firmware is now available in the Expert installer.

Features of the new release:

  • Devuan ASCII 2.1 installer ISOs, desktop and minimal live ISOs are now available;
  • This release does not include ARM or virtual images;
  • It is now possible to select OpenRC in the installer.
