Diablo IV was revealed at BlizzCon 2019, but only in campaign mode. However, the project will offer some PvP content, and Blizzard Entertainment is currently exploring different approaches for interesting battles between gamers. Company co-founder Allen Adham spoke about this in an interview with EDGE (January 2020, issue 340).
Unlike the limited PvP arena
Diablo IV will also feature a shared, seamless world. Adam believes that the value of this large, social, connected open world will be understood by gamers when they play for themselves. “The technology that allows us to support a huge, open, seamless world, and what that allows us to achieve is orders of magnitude greater than anything we've ever done in Diablo before,” he added.
Despite the many changes to Diablo, Adam assured fans of the franchise that Blizzard Entertainment will remain faithful to the series. He pointed to the update of the Druid from Diablo II to Diablo IV. He is surrounded by wolves and can transform into an animal and also use natural spells.
Unfortunately, the developer is releasing details of Diablo IV literally bit by bit, because many elements are still in the process of being created. Blizzard Entertainment has not announced a release date for the game, but the project will appear on current generation consoles and PC.
