The editor-in-chief of the XDA Developers resource, Mishaal Rahman, published information about new mobile devices that Huawei and its subsidiary brand Honor plan to release.
The designed gadgets appear under code designations, so their commercial names remain a mystery for now. It is also not clear whether all of the devices listed below will make it to store shelves.
So, it is reported that the RSN-AL00/W09 and VRD-AL09/W09/X9/Z00 tablets, equipped with an 8,4-inch display with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels, are being prepared for release. The gadgets will receive a battery with a capacity of 4200 mAh. It is known that the VRD series devices will be equipped with cameras with 8- and 13-megapixel matrices.
In addition, the SCM-AL09/W09/Z00 tablet with a 10,7-inch screen with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels is in development. The battery capacity will be 7500 mAh. Camera resolution is 13 and 8 million pixels.
New smartphones are also being designed. The SEA-AL10/TL10 model will receive a 6,39-inch display with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels, a 3500 mAh battery and camera modules with sensors of 25 million, 12,3 million and 48 million pixels (specific front/rear camera configuration not specified).
Another smartphone is YAL-AL00/LX1/TL00 with a 6,26-inch display with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels and a battery with a capacity of 3750 mAh. Camera sensors with a resolution of 25 million, 32 million, 48 million, 16 million and 2 million pixels are mentioned.
All new products will receive the proprietary Kirin 980 processor, which contains eight cores (ARM Cortex-A76 and ARM Cortex-A55 quartets), two NPU neuroprocessing units and an ARM Mali-G76 graphics controller.
