Studio inXile Entertainment on your site announced the release of update 1.1.2 for its post-apocalyptic role-playing game Wasteland 3. The patch brought "several major changes" with it.

The patch is already available on Steam and GOG versions, while users of the Microsoft Store, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will have to wait until next week due to the nature of the certification process on these platforms.

The team has redesigned the level loading system and significantly reduced the waiting time: up to 60% on the PC version (from 38 to 13 seconds on the studio test PC) and up to 25% on consoles.

As a result, the autosave process is no longer part of the download, but runs simultaneously with it. Because of this, you can now get into a situation where the next scene has already loaded, but saving is still ongoing.

Among other things, the developers fixed several bugs that interfered with the passage, eliminated interface errors, improved performance (including on consoles), and conducted β€œsome characters from the cutscenes microdermabrasionΒ».

β€œWe are pleased to see that so many of you are trying to help us improve [Wasteland 3], and we ourselves will continue to do this for the foreseeable future,” commented inXile Entertainment on the release of the patch.

Wasteland 3 was released on August 28 this year on PC (Steam, GOG, Windows 10, Xbox Game Pass), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The journalists rated the game at the level of the second part - the average score of the triquel by Metacritic is from 78 to 85 points.
