VisionTek has announced the VT4500 docking station, which allows laptops with a limited number of I/O ports to be endowed with a wide range of interfaces.
The novelty is connected to the laptop via a symmetrical USB Type-C connector. This port provides data transfer and simultaneous charging of the laptop battery.
The docking station has four USB 3.0 connectors and two USB Type-C connectors. There are standard headphone and microphone jacks, as well as a port for connecting a network cable.
HDMI and DisplayPort interfaces allow simultaneous connection of two 4K monitors with a resolution of up to 4096 Γ 2160 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz.
The USB Type-C port can supply up to 60W of power to your laptop. The package includes USB Type-C to USB Type-C and USB Type-C to USB Type-A connecting cables.
The VisionTek VT4500 docking station will be available for an estimated price of $220.
