The latest statistics are presented on the distribution of various editions of the Android operating system in the global market.
It is noted that the data is as of May 7, 2019. Versions of the Android software platform, the share of which is less than 0,1%, are not taken into account.
So, it is reported that the most common edition of Android is currently Oreo (versions 8.0 and 8.1) with a result of approximately 28,3%.
βSilverβ went to the Nougat platforms (versions 7.0 and 7.1), which together occupy 19,2% of the market. Well, the operating system Marshmallow 6.0 closes the top three with 16,9%. Another approximately 14,5% falls on platforms of the Lollipop family (5.0 and 5.1).
The share of the latest operating system Pie (9.0) has exceeded 10% and currently stands at approximately 10,4%.
About 6,9% comes from the KitKat 4.4 operating system. The Jelly Bean software platforms (versions 4.1.x, 4.2.x and 4.3) collectively account for approximately 3,2% of the global Android market.
Finally, the Ice Cream Sandwich (0,3β4.0.3) and Gingerbread (4.0.4β2.3.3) operating systems hold 2.3.7% each.
