The French fashion house Louis Vuitton, specializing in the production of luxury products, demonstrated a very unusual new product - a handbag with a built-in flexible display.
The product was shown at the Cruise 2020 event in New York (USA). The new product is a demonstration of how modern digital technologies can be integrated with familiar things.
Reportedly, the flexible screen sewn into the bag is made using AMOLED technology - an active matrix based on organic light-emitting diodes. It has a fairly high resolution of 1920Γ1440 pixels.
During the demonstration, two versions of the bag were shown - with a single and two-section display. This panel can display various photos and videos.
Unfortunately, other details about the product are not disclosed. But it is obvious that an electronic module with a microcontroller and memory is built into the bag. Power is provided by the battery pack.
There is no word on when the new product might go on sale. If the bag does make it to the commercial market, its price will be quite high - probably several thousand US dollars.
