Took place release of the tiled window manager i3wm 4.17. The i3wm project was created from scratch after a series of attempts to address the shortcomings of the wmii window manager. I3wm features well-readable and documented code, uses xcb instead of Xlib, correctly supports multi-monitor configurations, uses tree-like data structures for window positioning, provides an IPC interface, supports UTF-8, and keeps window styling minimal. Project Code spreads under BSD license
