Haruna video player 0.6.0 available

The release of the video player Haruna 0.6.0 is presented, which is an add-on for MPV with a graphical interface based on Qt, QML and libraries from the KDE Frameworks set. Of the features, the ability to play videos from online services (using youtube-dl), support for automatically skipping video sections that contain certain words in the description, and moving to the next section by pressing the middle mouse button on the position indicator in the video, stand out. The program is written in C++ and distributed under BSD and GPLv3 licenses. Packages are in flatpak format.

In the new version:

  • Added support for YouTube playlists.
  • Added support for the MPRIS2 standard, which defines tools for remote control of media players.
  • Settings have been restructured and opened in a separate window.
