Presented is the release of the Floorp 10.5.0 web browser, developed by a group of Japanese students and combining the Firefox engine with Chrome-style capabilities and interface. Among the features of the project is also the concern for user privacy and the ability to customize the interface to your taste. The project code is distributed under the MPL 2.0 license. Builds are prepared for Windows, Linux and macOS.
In the new release:
- An experimental control sidebar (Browser Manager) has been added, allowing you to manage music, video, search, bookmarks, downloads and browsing history in one place, as well as display a list of open sites in a tree form, grouped by topic.
- Added experimental support for enabling two skins at the same time - basic and auxiliary (colors not defined in the basic theme will be used from the auxiliary theme).
- The engine has been synchronized with Firefox ESR 102.3.0.
- Added a profile update feature to the about:support page that can be used to optimize performance when your profile grows.
- Integration with notification systems provided by supported operating systems is provided.
