The Qt Company announced on its blog that the first preview build of Qt 6.0 is available.
The company says that the first preview build contains binaries for desktop platforms only, and for testing on mobile and embedded platforms, you need to use the build from source, while Qt 6.0 requires C ++ 17 support from the compiler, so development is focusing on relatively recently released compilers.
The first preview build contains the following modules:
- Qt Core
- QtGUI
- Qt Widgets
- Qt Network
- QtQML
- qt-quick
- Qt Quick Controls
- Qt SVG
- Qt Network Authorization
- Qt SQL
- Qt Test
- …and a few other modules
Qt Company will continue to provide regular preview builds of Qt 6.0, but you can get them using the Qt installer in the category Preview.
The release of Qt 6 is scheduled for December 1, and a freeze on adding functionality is expected on August 31.
