At the beginning of May, Sperasoft Studio and Deep Silver announced remaster Saint's Row: The Third for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. At the same time, the version of the game for personal computers became the exclusive store of the Epic Games Store. The project was released on May 22, and a day later hackers hacked it and posted it on pirated resources. This became known thanks to information on the site crack watch.

The remaster of Saint's Row: The Third was equipped with EGS DRM protection, which, apparently, quickly succumbed to the onslaught of intruders. The hacker group P2P is responsible for hacking the game.

Recall that in the re-release of the third part of the franchise, the developers from Sperasoft Studio completely updated the visual component. They added high resolution textures, redrawn the models and implemented physically based lighting. The updated Saint's Row: The Third also included all the additions - three large-scale expansions and more than thirty small additions.

The Western specialized press managed to estimate fresh remaster, noting the high quality of all aspects that have undergone changes. At the same time, many critics said that the game itself is outdated, and not all users will like its proprietary madness.

On the Metacritic (PC) Saint's Row: The Third Remastered received an 84 out of 22 reviews from critics. Users rated 8,1 points out of 10, 1460 people voted. And the remaster version for PS4 was much less liked by journalists and players. On this platform he got 74 and 6,9 points, respectively.
