EK Water Blocks has a wide range of water blocks for a variety of hardware and is constantly expanding it. Another novelty of the Slovenian company is the EK-FC GV100 Pro full coverage water block, which is designed for use with one of the most powerful professional GPU-based accelerators - NVIDIA Quadro GV100 and Tesla V100 based on Volta GV100 GPU.
The EK-FC GV100 Pro water block has a massive copper base that covers a layer of nickel. In its central part, there is a large pad that will remove heat from the NVIDIA GV100 GPU and the HBM2 memory stacks located in the immediate vicinity. Also, the base will provide cooling for the elements of the power subsystem. On the inside of the base, in the area of ββcontact with the GPU, there is a rather large structure of microchannels.
The upper part of the novelty is made of non-standard material for water blocks - stainless steel sheet. Due to the large thickness of the base, all channels for the coolant pass through it, and the steel sheet only closes these channels from above. The terminal for connecting the EK-FC GV100 Pro water block to the LSS circuit has a slightly non-standard location, and it is made of black plastic. Also attached to the water block is a frame for a video output panel with a height of one expansion slot. And the professional orientation of the novelty is emphasized by the absence of RGB backlighting.
In addition to the EK-FC GV100 Pro water block, EK Water Blocks has released a rear reinforcement plate that will give the video card with a water block installed a more attractive and finished appearance. In addition, this plate provides additional passive cooling of the power circuits.
The EK-FC GV100 Pro water block is the first of a new series of products that are designed for professional workstations and servers. The manufacturer plans to introduce more new products for such systems in the coming months.
