EK Water Blocks recently introduced two new monoblock water blocks designed for ASUS ROG Maximus XI series motherboards. The new EK-Momentum ROG Maximus XI Extreme D-RGB is designed to fit the ROG Maximus XI Extreme motherboard, while the EK-Momentum ROG Maximus XI Hero D-RGB is made specifically for the ROG Maximus XI Hero motherboard.
In general, the novelties are very similar to each other and, in fact, differ only in the shape and arrangement of the internal space through which the coolant passes. The base of each of the coolers is made of nickel-plated copper. As it should be for monoblock waterblocks, the base contacts not only with the cover of the processor installed in the LGA 1151v2 socket of the Maximus XI boards, but also with the power elements of the motherboard power circuits.
The upper part of the water blocks EK-Momentum ROG Maximus XI D-RGB is made of transparent acrylic with a black plastic insert. There are a pair of G1/4β³ threaded holes for connection to the LSS circuit. The hole through which the liquid enters the water block is located directly above the structure of microchannels that remove heat from the processor. Of course, there is also customizable addressable (pixel) RGB lighting, which is compatible with ASUS Aura Sync lighting control technology.
The EK-Momentum ROG Maximus XI Extreme D-RGB and EK-Momentum ROG Maximus XI Hero D-RGB waterblocks are already available for order from the EK Water Blocks online store. There are new items for 142 euros.
