Artdink has announced that the action-platformer Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World is a complete remake of Monster World IV. The game will be released on PC along with versions for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in early 2021.
Monster World IV was developed by Westone Bit Entertainment and released by SEGA on the Sega Mega Drive in 1994. According to the plot of the game, the main character Asha, who has just become a warrior, faces her first big test. The villains who are trying to take over this world have captured four spirits, which threatens the survival of the girl's kingdom. In order to save the captives, Asha, on the orders of Queen Purapril, goes on an adventure with a mysterious creature, the pepelogu, whom she met in the city of Rapadanga.
The game has RPG elements. By defeating the enemies that you meet during the adventure, you can get gold. It is required to purchase equipment, including swords, shields, and bracelets. By strengthening the equipment, Asha will be able to cope with difficult opponents.
