Speaking to Eurogamer, Hennig expressed surprise at the announcement made by Electronic Arts, especially since she once worked on a Star Wars game for EA, codenamed Project Ragtag. It was supposed to be story-driven and single-player. "This is weird! Hennig said at the Reboot Develop event. β€œI must be frank with you. I mean, since it's coming from the EA Star Wars twitter, it's certainly part of the plan, but I don't know if they're specifically referring to previous comments they made after our project was killed?"

After Electronic Arts announced that Project Ragtag was canceled and Visceral Games closes, former vice president of the company Patrick Soderlund (Patrick Soderlund) wrote that the story game was contrary to the wishes of the publisher. Electronic Arts was only interested in long-lived online projects with ongoing content support.

Hennig thinks Respawn Entertainment may have benefited from the fact that the project was in development before acquisitions studios by Electronic Arts. In addition, Respawn founder Vince Zampella joined the team of executive directors, where he was able to protect the interests of his studio.

β€œThis is all speculation on my part, I don't know why this change happened because it was definitely not an acceptable plan when we were working on Ragtag! Hennig said. β€œBut you know, things change. [The decision to cancel] was made in the summer of 2017. We found out about him in October 2017. It's been almost two years and a lot has changed in that time, and there's been quite a public and vocal backlash against the idea that gamers don't want single player games without any extra modes."

The head of the canceled project also believes that Electronic Arts has changed a lot since ΡƒΡ…ΠΎΠ΄Π° Patrick Soderlund and Jade Raymond (Jade Raymond). "I'm happy for Respawn because I'm very excited about the game and I've heard a lot of good things about it," said Amy Hennig.
