Developers of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition shared fresh details about Future Connected, an additional story chapter that acts as an epilogue to the main story.

As a reminder, Future Connected events will unfold after the final battle and will tell about the adventures of the main character Shulk and Princess Melia on frozen titan Bionis.
According to information in Weekly Famitsu, the story in Future Connected is designed for 10-12 hours of gameplay, while optional content can stretch the completion time up to 20 hours.

According to the director of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, Tetsuya Takahashi, the epilogue could have been made longer, but in this case the chapter would probably have had to ask for money.
At the same time, paid content would most likely consume too many resources. Now Monolith Soft is divided into three teams: the first is working on the re-release, the second is working on the new game, and the third is working on both projects.

As for the updated soundtrack, which, along with the original, will be available in Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, it was not re-recorded with an orchestra: Monolith Soft simply improved the quality of the recordings.
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will go on sale on May 29 this year for Nintendo Switch. The main features of the game were discussed in the May , although information about the recently confirmed not there.
