Based on more than 22 consumer surveys, 35 expert interviews, and six focus groups, Ericsson ConsumerLab research in 000 countries shows that smartphone owners are willing to pay more for 22G services, rightly so. relying on a wider range of opportunities they provide.

Overall, two-thirds of Ericsson ConsumerLab respondents said they were willing to pay more for the added value of 5G services, which are expected to gain significant adoption within two to three years. Some users have declared their willingness to pay 32% more for 5G services than for 4G tariffs. But on average, smartphone owners have expressed a willingness to pay up to 20% extra, assuming that 5G tariffs will include a wider range of services.
