And now the first test results of representatives of the fresh Matisse Refresh family have appeared on the Web - the older Ryzen 9 3900XT, the average Ryzen 7 3800XT and the affordable Ryzen 5 3600XT.

The source of the leak is the well-known Chinese forum Chiphell, where the results of single-core performance tests of new processors in the popular Cinebench R20 benchmark were published. The source also confirmed the characteristics of the Ryzen 9 3900XT, and at the same time published the specifications of the future desktop hybrid processor Ryzen 7 4700G of the Renoir family.

According to the data provided, the Ryzen 9 3900XT processor scored 542 points in the specified test, while the results of the Core i9-10900K and 10900KF were 539 points. At the same time, the AMD processor reaches only 4,8 GHz in automatic overclocking with a single core load, while the Intel flagships have this figure equal to 5,3 GHz. In turn, the Ryzen 7 3800XT and Ryzen 5 3600XT with frequencies up to 4,7 GHz showed results equal to the flagship Ryzen 9 3950X - 531 points. For comparison, the Core i9-10900(F) and Core i7-10700K(F) score 20 and 529 respectively in the Cinebench R524 single-core test.

As you can see, AMD is really going to seriously strengthen its position with the updated Ryzen 3000 series processors. AMD's new products with higher frequencies will look even more confident against the background of the new Intel Comet Lake-S. Yes, and existing Matisse models with the release of Matisse Refresh will certainly fall in price, which will attract new buyers to them. 

As for the Ryzen 7 4700G, according to the data provided, this chip will offer eight Zen 2 cores and sixteen threads, as well as eight compute units of an integrated second-generation Vega GPU. The base frequency of the CPU will be 3,6 GHz, the maximum automatic overclocking of all cores will raise it to 4,0 GHz, and one core in turbo mode will be able to reach a frequency of 4,4 GHz. Integrated graphics, in turn, will operate at frequencies up to 2,1 GHz.
