The developers of ALT Linux have announced the release of quarterly "starter builds" of the distribution.
"Starting Assemblies" - these are small live builds with various graphical environments, plus server, rescue and cloud; available for free download and unlimited use under the terms of the GPL, easy to customize and generally intended for advanced users; The kit is updated quarterly. Builds Available for Platforms i586, x86_64, aarch64 and armh.

Known Issues:
- Clipboard not working in virtualbox
- Cinnamon, Gnome3 and KDE5 are having issues with window resizing in virtualbox when using the vmsvga virtual video adapter.
- In UEFI mode, non-ASCII characters are not displayed on sysvinit if quiet is passed to the kernel at boot.
Separately, an assembly with engineering software was assembled - Engineering P9.
It is also worth noting that developers do not recommend using programs such as UNetbootin or UltraISO to write images to FLASH drives.
