F1 2020 will be released on July 10 and will allow you to create your own team in career mode

Codemasters announced the next part of its annual Formula 1 simulator - F1 2020. In addition to the current cars and tracks, the upcoming game will offer several major innovations.

The developers call the key feature of F1 2020 the ability to create your own racing team in career mode. The team will have to not only represent it on the track, but also lead it.

Following the real Formula 1, the virtual one this year will offer a shortened calendar (10 or 16 stages). However, no one will prohibit you from leaving for a full season of 22 races.

F1 2020 will also introduce "a range of different options" for series newcomers. Such modes will allow you to “choose the level of difficulty to suit your abilities.” Apparently, we are talking about setting up additional parameters.

In addition, with the release of F1 2020, the split-screen mode for two players will return to virtual Formula 1 - the last time you could fight with a friend behind the same monitor (TV) was in F1 2014.

F1 2020 is being developed for PC (Steam), PS4, Xbox One and Google Stadia service. The game will be released on July 10 - at the time of publication of the material, it is not possible to pre-order the project, but in the future they promise a set of “exclusive items” for it.

Two editions of F1 2020 will be available for purchase: standard and extended, named after Michael Schumacher. The latter consists of four legendary cars, in which the Red Baron performed in different years.

“As huge F1 fans, we continue to innovate and create game modes that bring gamers and the sport closer together,” said F1 2020 director Lee Mather.

Echoes fellow F1 franchise boss Paul Jeal: “Hardcore gamers will enjoy even greater gameplay depth with the addition of the My Team feature, along with three season length options allowing you to choose your favorite tracks.”

Let us remind you that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the start of the 2020 season of the real Formula 1 was postponed until the French Grand Prix (June 26–28). The racers spend their free time from real races not only with their families, but also in F1 2019.
