Alas, the authors did not name a specific number, but announced that the project would be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in June this year. Recall that development is also underway for PC (Steam) and Nintendo Switch, however, these two versions will be released later - only in the fourth quarter of this year. At the moment, none of the platforms can be pre-ordered or even see the corresponding page in digital stores, so the price is not known.

Perhaps it will be announced on April 4, when the developers will hold a stream with an extended presentation of the project, talk more about the mechanics, show new characters and invite professional players Momochi and Chocoblanka. You can watch the broadcast both on Youtube and on the SNK Twitch channel.

The Samurai Shodown series of 1993D fighting games, known in Japan as Samurai Spirits, debuted in 2009 on the Neo-Geo AES arcade and console. Then many sequels were released, but in XNUMX the series went off the radar. And now, a decade later, the once-popular franchise is back.

The novelty is being developed on Unreal Engine 4. Perhaps the most interesting feature is the dojo mode, which "will be based on deep machine learning to master the style of your game." Based on this data, artificial intelligence will create a so-called "ghost" that other Samurai Shodown players can fight over the Web. At the time of release, the fighting game will have 16 fighters (13 old and 3 new characters), but in subsequent DLCs, the authors will add new heroes.
