Present to your attention 1.0.13 update of the open engine of Heroes of Might and Magic 2.
Our team continues to work on map editor. Since the last update, some shortcomings in the editor UI have been corrected, and several missing landscape objects have been added.
The editor has the ability to erase objects from the map using the "Eraser". Map creators will have access to several brush sizes and the ability to selectively delete objects by group. (The editor is not yet available to users.)
This update adds several management improvements for devices with touch screens. Now all lists in the game can be scroll through swipe across the entire window area. Previously, this required interacting with scroll bars, which, being designed for PC, were too small to interact with.
In addition, in battle we tried to make controls a little more convenient. By choosing the direction of attack through slip from a nearby hex to the goal, confirming touch on the target always activates the attack from the selected angle, even if the player slightly missed the relevant part of the hex. This will help you control your troops a little more confidently on devices with a small screen size.
In the campaigns, we fine-tuned the difficulty so that completing the “norm” would not cause so many difficulties for players. In addition, the logic for transferring troops in campaigns has been improved"Wars for the throne".
The game engine has undergone minor improvements in rendering and optimization in the operation of the application itself. In addition, many text messages have been corrected, supplemented and translated into many languages.
