Fitbit recently bought $2,1 billion tech giant Google is mulling over a new wearable device with physical activity tracker features.

We are talking about "smart" watches. Information about the gadget is published on the website of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

As you can see in the illustrations, the design of the device provides for an elongated curved display. This panel, no doubt, will receive support for touch control.

In the back of the gadget will be an array of various sensors. These include a heart rate sensor to measure heart rate during sports and daily activities. In addition, there will probably be a sensor to determine the level of oxygen saturation in the blood.

In one of the side parts there is a physical control button. At the ends there are slots for attaching interchangeable straps.

The patent application was filed by Fitbit last November, but the document has only just been made public. It is possible that the proposed design will form the basis of one of the future wearable devices that will enter the market under the Made by Google brand.
