The powerful Galaxy Tab S5 tablet has appeared in the Geekbench benchmark database: the device is expected to be introduced soon by the South Korean company Samsung.

The test talks about using the base msmnile board. The high-performance Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor is used, which combines eight Kryo 485 computing cores with a clock frequency of 1,80 GHz to 2,84 GHz, as well as an Adreno 640 graphics accelerator. It should be noted that the solution contains a Snapdragon X4 LTE 24G modem.

Benchmark Geekbench says the presence of 6 GB of RAM. The operating system Android 9 Pie is used as a software platform.

Network sources add that the tablet will be equipped with a 10,5-inch Super AMOLED display. The developer will allegedly use a panel with a resolution of at least WQXGA - 2560 Γ— 1600 pixels.

Other characteristics, alas, are not disclosed yet. It is possible that the novelty will debut at the IFA 2019 exhibition, which will be held in Berlin from 6 to 11 September.

IDC estimates that approximately 9,7 million tablet computers were shipped to the EMEA market (including Europe, including Russia, the Middle East and Africa) in the first quarter of this year. This is 10,9% less than in the first quarter of 2018, when shipments were 10,8 million units.
