Initially, it was assumed that the Redmi smartphone based on the Snapdragon 855 single-chip system would be called Redmi Pro 2, that is, it would formally become the successor to the Redmi Pro released three years ago, which was also equipped with a top-end chipset, but not Qualcomm, but MediaTek. However, the latest information indicates that the model will be called Redmi X. It should be noted that this name has previously appeared on the Internet.
The design of Redmi X will be completely frameless, the frames from the video clearly show the absence of any cutout in the screen. However, unlike Mi Mix 3, in which the problem of the location of the front camera was solved by using a slider case, in this case, the front photo module that extends from the upper end will be used.
