The Chinese company ZTE is preparing to return to the mobile market with the new flagship smartphone Axon 10 Pro 5G, which can work in fifth generation communication networks. For the first time this was demonstrated at the annual exhibition MWC 2019, which was held at the beginning of the year in Barcelona. Today, the developer announced the official start date for sales of the flagship smartphone. It will become available for purchase in China on May 6, 2019.
The Axon 10 Pro itself is an attractive device with thin bezels framing the display. Applied 6,4-inch Visionex AMOLED panel, which is 30% thinner than conventional displays.
The device is the first ZTE smartphone to support 5G networks, which is based on the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. Work in fifth-generation communication networks is provided by the Snapdragon X50 modem. The configuration is complemented by 6 GB of RAM and a built-in storage of 128 GB. Reliable protection of information stored in the device's memory is provided by a fingerprint scanner integrated into the display area. A 4000 mAh battery is responsible for the autonomous operation of the gadget, which is enough to work during the day even when connected to a 5G network. The mobile OS Android 9.0 (Pie) is used as a software platform.
Despite the fact that many of the characteristics of the ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G have been announced earlier, the retail price of the flagship, as well as its availability outside of China, remains unknown. Probably, these questions will be cleared up after the device appears in retail sales.
