The Free Software Foundation has certified Talos II motherboards

Free Software Foundation presented new devices that have received the β€œrespect your freedom", which confirms the compliance of the device requirements ensuring the privacy and freedom of users and gives the right to use a special logo in product-related materials, emphasizing the provision of full control to the user over the device. The SPO Foundation also commissioned separate website for the initiative respect your freedom (ryf.fsf.org), where you can obtain information about certified equipment and download the necessary code.

Certificate issued to motherboards Talos II ΠΈ Talos II Lite, produced by Raptor Computing Systems. These are the first FSF certified motherboards to support POWER9 processors. The Talos II board supports two POWER9 processors and is equipped with
16 DDR4 slots (up to 2TB RAM), 3 PCIe 4.0 x16 slots, two PCIe 4.0 x8 slots, two Broadcom Gigabit Ethernet, 4 USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 and two RS-232. An optional Microsemi SAS 3.0 controller can be supplied. Talos II Lite is a simplified single-processor variant that offers fewer DDR4 and PCIe 4.0 slots.

All source codes for firmware, bootloader and operating system components available under a free license. The board-mounted BMC controller is built using an open stack OpenBMC. The boards are also notable for providing support for repeatable builds, ensuring that the board uses firmware built from the provided source code (FSF has verified the build identity and published checksums for verification).
