Let us recall that Beresheet is an Israeli device intended to study the natural satellite of our planet. The probe, created by the private company SpaceIL, was launched on February 22, 2019.

Beresheet was scheduled to land on the Moon on April 11. Unfortunately, during this procedure, the probe experienced a malfunction in its main motor. This led to the device crashing on the lunar surface at high speed.

The presented images of the crash site were taken from the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO), which is studying the Earth’s natural satellite.

The shooting was carried out using the LROC (LRO Camera) tool, which consists of three modules: a low-resolution camera (WAC) and two high-resolution cameras (NAC).

The photographs were taken from a distance of approximately 90 kilometers to the lunar surface. The images clearly show a dark spot from the Beresheet impact - the size of this small β€œcrater” is approximately 10 meters across.
