The conference was started by Angela Tse, Development Manager for Facebook in Russia, Poland, Korea and Eastern Europe. She talked about what's new on the Facebook platform: a custom open graph, a new profile, and other distribution channels.

Then a teleconference took place with a speaker who could not visit our cold lands - Scott Chacon (book author Pro Git book by Apress, Chief Technology Officer at GitHub, lead Git evangelist, speaker at many well-known foreign development conferences) spoke about Open-Source projects, the specifics of the GitHub platform and other similar projects.

The third speaker was Jake Archibald, lead developer from lanyrd. He answered many burning questions, such as what distinguishes reusable JavaScript code from other JavaScript code. Or how to write code that is easy for developers to maintain, but at the same time is fast and compatible with other code.

Those who really wanted to, but could not attend the conference, watched its broadcast live - it was organized by our friends, the company COMDI. All materials from the conference will appear later in the "Materials" section on the website .toaster.

Then there was a coffee break - toasts with delicious toppings, cookies, tea and coffee. A little later there was lunch - there the food was already more satisfying.

The speech continued Matthew Eernisse - book author "Build Your Own Ajax Web Applications", Head of Development at Yammer. In his “Introduction to NodeJS” talk, he demonstrated in real time the development of web applications using NodeJS, a new I / O framework for server-side JavaScript. NodeJS uses Google's V8 JavaScript interpreter and asynchronous APIs to allow you to write fast, scalable applications in pure JavaScript.

Immediately after he spoke Konstantin (Small) Kichinsky, author of html5insight.ru, software development expert, dev-evangelist from Microsoft - he had the most, perhaps, unusual report. The report (about the development of HTML5 and related technologies, their current state and what awaits us in the future) bore the proud title of Wild Wild Web and was unusual in that it was full of various metaphors from the animal world. "Old browsers are like coelacanths - they seem to have died out a long time ago and everyone thinks that they are long gone, but in the news every now and then a mention will slip that they are found somewhere"- in general, I had to remember the lessons of biology.

Совсем недавно мы went to visit to "Classmates", now - they are to us. This time the story is about social network architecture was as detailed as possible - with graphs and flowcharts.

The penultimate speaker was Vladimir (XaocCPS) Yunev — his speech was about the development environment WebMatrix (competition on the topic), the ASP.NET Web Pages engine, the Web Platform Installer, a web application autoconfiguration tool, and using WebMatrix for PHP and NodeJS.

However, I am ready to argue with the author of the previous tweet, because the most interesting (even, perhaps, incredible) was in the last report. Gareth Morris from Facebook on live examples showed the possibilities Open Graph - created about three simple applications in real time. It is unlikely that anyone remembered everything the first time, but one thing is clear - this tool has a huge potential that will help the social network to remain a leader for a long time to come.

After all the reports - questions and answers, the opportunity to chat with the speakers.

Well, what happened next, you already know 🙂 Buffet, drinking parties and again communication-communication-communication. All visitors were presented with toaster packages containing nice little things from our partners. Well, the little things - the company REG.ru, for example, gave certificates for hosting and domain registration.

But there were also people with an increased level of luck - they got no less valuable and useful gifts from Yota. By the way, the same unknown guy in a provocative T-shirt in the evening secured two bags of invites and distributed them to everyone who participated in the conference.

There was a sequel.
