On June 4, the stable version 14 of FreeBSD received its first update.

The following points are particularly noted:
- The C library has implemented SIMD versions of string and memory operations, which can improve the performance of code on the amd64 architecture;
- Improvements in the audio subsystem, including hot-plug devices;
- Native cloud-init support, compatible with OpenStack and other providers;
- OpenZFS → 2.2.4;
- Clang/LLVM → 18.1.5;
- OpenSSH → 9.7p1.
