According to a press release, the new Neopan 100 Acros II film was developed with feedback from millennials and GenZ, generations of people born after 1981 and 1996, respectively, whom the company calls "new film enthusiasts."

Acros is the legendary brand that Fujifilm also used to name the black and white film simulation mode on their X-series digital cameras.

Neopan 100 Acros II film will be available in both 35mm and 120mm formats. According to Fujifilm, Super Fine-Σ technology gives the new film less grain and sharper definition than the original Neopan 100 Acros.

Fujifilm plans to start selling the Neopan 100 Acros II in Japan this fall. The issue of its appearance in the markets of other countries will directly depend on demand.

Photography enthusiasts have come to terms with the idea that most of the news coming from Fujifilm lately has been bad. Earlier this year, Fujifilm announced a 30% price increase for its film camera products. However, this time the company has pleased fans of photography. To a large extent, the change in Fujifilm's plans was influenced by a large number of user requests, among which there were many smartphone owners. They liked using black and white filters when shooting and decided to try their hand at taking pictures with a real film camera.
