GALAX has quietly introduced a new modification of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card, called the GeForce GTX 1650 Ultra. It is based on the TU106 graphics chip, built on the Turing architecture.
Prior to this, the GeForce GTX 1650 was presented in three versions: two based on the TU117 processor (one using GDDR5 memory, the other with GDDR6); another one is built on the TU116 chip - the SUPER model. Now there is a fourth modification of the GeForce GTX 1650 Ultra based on the TU106-125 GPU. The same chip is used in the GeForce RTX 2060 and GeForce RTX 2070. However, the number of functional blocks in the GeForce GTX 1650 Ultra processor is significantly reduced - in general, there are 61,1% less of them.
The graphics chip was left with 896 CUDA cores, so it has 14 SM blocks. The base core clock is 1410 MHz. In the automatic overclocking mode, it rises to 1590 MHz. The card is equipped with 4 GB of GDDR6 memory with a 128-bit bus running at 12 Gb / s. Its total bandwidth is 192 Gb / s.
To power the GALAX GeForce GTX 1650 Ultra uses one six-pin connector. The nominal TDP level of the video card is 90 watts. This is more than the TU117 (75W) processor-based models, but less than the TU116-based SUPER variant (100W).
The video card is cooled by a dual-slot cooling system using two fans and a large heatsink, which is located under a decorative casing. Apparently, there are no heat pipes in the cooling system. The equipment of the GALAX GeForce GTX 1650 Ultra includes one DVI port, one HDMI and one DisplayPort.
The manufacturer does not say anything about the price of the novelty.
