Galaxy Note 10 may get a smaller version for the European market

The Samsung Galaxy S10 family is already on sale, so it's high time for rumors about the next flagship of the Korean company, which is expected in about 5 months. Industry sources hint that Samsung is going to release a smaller version of the Galaxy Note 10, which may be exclusive to the European market, where overall devices are not particularly fond of.

This is a rather strange strategy. Galaxy Note devices have always been defined by two key features: a large screen and the S Pen. It was they who paved the way for the tablet phone market, which is now the norm, and they consistently increased the diagonal in each new generation.

According to The Bell insider sources, the problem lies in the forthcoming Galaxy S10 5G smartphone, which will receive a 6,7-inch screen. In this regard, the Galaxy Note 10 should get at least a slightly larger display, and not everyone likes 6,9-inch phones. There is information that the display diagonal of the Galaxy Note 10 will be 6,75 inches. In addition, the success of the Galaxy S10e has proven that some people prefer smaller phones.

The source does not reveal the actual dimensions of the two versions of the Galaxy Note 10, but does mention that the smaller one could be exclusive to the European market. Aside from the screen, this variant allegedly won't get a fourth Time-of-Flight 3D camera. By the way, a few years ago, Samsung did not release the Galaxy Note 5 in Europe, citing the lack of demand for such large business-oriented flagship devices. It seems that this time it is implied that this market prefers more compact phones.

The dimensions of both versions of the Galaxy Note 10 will, of course, be large enough to accommodate the S Pen. However, compactness also means less space for typing and drawing.
