A new version of the Linux system performance optimizer has been released.
GameMode includes a daemon and a set of libraries that allow games to request various game-specific optimizations applied to both the OS itself and the gameplay within it.
First of all, GameMode is designed for improved switching of operating modes in Intel and AMD cores, both in energy-saving mode and in mode depending on the current load on the core. But now it can also manage the configuration of various functions to optimize performance.
Main changes in this release:
- Fixed slowdown of idle closing bus connection too early.
- Fixed unreadable process maps in gamemodelist.
- Fixed bug if D-Bus is not available.
- Fixed CPU core slowdown.
- Various bug fixes and documentation improvements have been made.
