Geary 3.36 - GNOME Mail Client

Geary 3.36 - GNOME Mail Client

On March 13, the release of the email client was announced - Geary 3.36.

Geary - a simple email client with a "light" interface and the necessary set of functions for comfortable work with email. The company started the project Yorba Foundation, who introduced the well-known photo manager Shotwell, but over time, the burden of development shifted to the GNOME community. The project is written in the VALA language and distributed under the license LGPL. The library used as a graphical toolkit GTK3+.

Main innovations:

  • Redesigned new post editor interface using responsive design Screenshot
  • Implemented insertion of images into the text of the letter in the Drag&Drop mode
  • Added new context menu for pasting emoji
  • Reworked the "Rollback" mode of changes. Now it has become possible to “roll back” the work with letters - moving, deleting, and so on
  • Within 5 seconds of sending an email, it is now possible to unsend
  • "Hotkeys" now work with the Ctrl key by default instead of the previously used "one-button" hotkeys
  • Double-clicking the message will open it in a separate window.
