Getac, a developer of industrial and military computers, plans to expand its product range with the rugged K120-Ex tablet, which is designed for use in hazardous environments. The device is suitable for industrial areas of increased explosion hazard, in which the concentration of combustible gases is high.

The tablet computer is certified for use in hazardous areas with high levels of combustible gases and dust. The body of the device is made in accordance with the military standard MIL-STD-810G, which indicates its high strength. Protection against moisture and dust complies with the international standard IP65. The gadget is not afraid of falling from a height of up to 1,8 m, as well as temperature drops from -29 Β° C to +63 Β° C.  

The tablet received a 12,5-inch LumiBond display, which allows you to interact with the screen while wearing gloves and has a high brightness, making it more comfortable to work in bright sunlight. Company representatives say that the continuous process of transformation of many industrial processes leads to an increase in the need for devices that can function anywhere in a drilling rig, plant, refinery, etc.

Getac K120-Ex will start shipping to distributors soon and will be available for purchase. Buyers will be able to choose between different modifications of the device, differing in the amount of RAM, the capacity of the built-in drive, etc. Depending on the option chosen, the cost of the novelty will vary from Β£2000 to Β£3000. The exact date of the start of sales will be announced closer to the launch of the first deliveries.
