GIGABYTE has released the high-performance Aorus RGB AIC NVMe SSDs, which were first announced earlier this year during CES 2019.
The devices are designed as expansion cards with PCI-Express 3.0 x4 interface. New items are designed for gaming desktops and workstations.
As part of the drives, Toshiba BiCS3 TLC NAND flash memory microchips are used: the technology involves storing three bits of information in one cell. The Phison PS5012-E12 NVMe 1.3 controller is involved.
The GIGABYTE Aorus RGB AIC NVMe SSD family includes two models - 512 GB and 1 TB. The younger version provides sequential read speeds up to 3480 MB/s and sequential write speeds up to 2100 MB/s. The IOPS (Input/Output Operations Per Second) is up to 360K random reads and up to 510K random writes.
A more capacious model is capable of reading information at speeds up to 3480 MB / s and writing at speeds up to 3080 MB / s. Read IOPS up to 610, write IOPS up to 000.
Information about the estimated price of drives at the moment, unfortunately, no.
