Gigabyte decided to bundle the Z390 Aorus Xtreme Waterforce with an overclocked Core i9-9900K

Gigabyte has decided to release a rather unusual motherboard and processor kit called the Z390 Aorus Xtreme Waterforce 5G Premium Edition Bundle. What makes this kit unique is that it does not include a regular processor, but a selected and pre-overclocked one.

As the name suggests, the new kit is based on the flagship Z390 Aorus Xtreme Waterforce motherboard. This motherboard is distinguished by the presence of a water block of the "monoblock" class, which removes heat from the processor, power elements of the power subsystem and the Intel Z390 system logic chip.

The Z390 Aorus Xtreme Waterforce 5G Premium Edition Bundle comes with the flagship Intel Core i9-9900K octa-core processor, pre-selected and overclocked by Gigabyte engineers to 5,1 GHz. As noted by the manufacturer, the BIOS of the motherboard was fully pre-configured to ensure that the processor runs at a frequency of 5,1 GHz or even higher. The user does not have to pore over system settings and manual overclocking. In addition, Gigabyte has stress-tested and guarantees stable operation of the system in overclocking.

Unfortunately, the cost of the new unusual kit from Gigabyte is not specified. The Z390 Aorus Xtreme Waterforce motherboard itself sells for "only" $900. Note that the same Z390 Aorus Xtreme board without a water block costs $550, which means that Gigabyte is asking $350 for the cooling system. In turn, the Core i9-9900K processor without overclocking can be found for $520, and the version with guaranteed overclocking to 5,0 GHz across all cores is sold on Silicon Lottery for $620. So if Gigabyte sells its Z390 Aorus Xtreme Waterforce 5G Premium Edition Bundle for under $1500, that could be a pretty interesting deal for some buyers.
