We are talking, in particular, about the creation of a second launch pad designed to launch heavy-class rockets of the Angara family. The construction of this complex began last year. The work is progressing at an accelerated pace, they should be completed in 2022. From January 2023, first autonomous and then integrated testing of equipment will begin.

It is reported that next month a giant launch pad and special equipment for the new launch complex will depart from Severodvinsk, Arkhangelsk Region, by water. The universal cargo ship "Barents" will be used for transportation.

It will arrive at the Eastern launch pad by September of this year. The first heavy Angara rocket will launch from here approximately in the fall of 2023, and in 2025 it is planned to launch a manned spacecraft using such a carrier.

We add that the commissioning of the Angara complex on Vostochny will allow launching spacecraft of all types from the territory of Russia - this will provide our country with independent guaranteed access to space.
