GitHub Introduces Limit of 100,000 Repositories Per Organization

GitHub has announced a limit of 100 repositories per user or organization account. The limit will come into effect on April 28. Once the 50 repositories threshold is crossed, the owner will start seeing a warning banner and an email notification will be sent to the administrator. The change is intended to prevent slowdowns in accounts with a very large number of repositories, as well as to eliminate their negative impact on the infrastructure. If it is necessary to maintain a very large number of repositories, it is recommended to distribute them among several organizations.
