GitHub has released a stable version of the mobile application

GitHub announced the completion of the beta testing phase of its mobile applications.

GitHub is the largest web service for hosting IT projects and their joint development.

The web service is based on a version control system Go and developed on Ruby on Rails and Erlang by GitHub, Inc (formerly Logical Awesome). The service is free for open source projects and (since 2019) small private projects, giving them all the features (including SSL), and various paid plans are offered for large enterprise projects.

Owned by Microsoft Corporation since June 4, 2018

The application provides the following features:

  • Track project status
  • view code
  • Parse and respond to issue reports
  • Review pull requests
  • Merge changes

Apps are available for Android and for iOS.
