It is alleged that on the table next to the head of the Chinese company are prototypes of the Redmi device on the Snapdragon 855 platform. We have already reported on the development of this device. However, it is not yet clear when this smartphone may debut in the commercial market.
Observers note that the new Redmi will receive a retractable front camera, made in the form of a periscope module. In addition, the photos show a standard 3,5mm headphone jack.
The flagship Redmi smartphone based on the Snapdragon 855 platform will receive a display with narrow bezels. Apparently, a Full HD + format panel will be used.
We add that the powerful Snapdragon 855 processor combines eight Kryo 485 computing cores with a clock frequency of 1,80 GHz to 2,84 GHz, an Adreno 640 graphics accelerator and a Snapdragon X4 LTE 24G modem.
The announcement of the new Redmi may take place in the second half of this year.
