Gmail lets you forward emails as attachments

Developers from Google have announced a new feature that will soon be available to users of the Gmail mail service. The presented tool will allow you to attach other messages to electronic messages without downloading or copying them.

For example, if you need to send several letters from your mailbox to one of your colleagues, then it will be as simple as possible to do this. All you have to do is select them and then drag them into the open draft message window. After that, the letters will be attached as attachments, and you just have to send the message to the right recipients.

Another option for using the new feature is that the user will select the desired messages right on the main page, where all the conversations of letters are displayed, after which it remains to select the "Forward as attachment" option. In addition, users will be able to drag and drop emails from the Quick Reply form without creating a new subject. Simply open a draft response form, move the necessary letters there and send a message to the addressee.

Letters transferred in this way can be opened directly inside the mail client, since each individual file is assigned the .eml extension. According to the available data, there are no restrictions on the number of email attachments.

The developers say that "the new feature is being rolled out gradually", so it will take some time before it becomes available to users around the world. At the moment, it can be used by some corporate customers of the G Suite service. When forwarding emails as attachments will become available to private Gmail users is still unknown.
