Racing sim Ride 4 is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X on January 21

Milestone has announced that it will release Ride 4 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on January 21, 2021. On PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, the game will go on sale a few months earlier, on October 8th.

Customers who purchase Ride 4 on PlayStation 4 before April 30, 2021 will be able to download the PlayStation 5 version (and all additional content purchased) at no additional cost. Owners of the Xbox One version of the game will be able to automatically download the Xbox Series X version at no additional cost at any time with Smart Delivery.

Ride 4 will feature motorcycle races on dozens of tracks from around the world created using CAD drawings, laser and 3D scanning. You can get on one of hundreds of officially licensed motorcycles and work your way up from local competitions to professional leagues.

The PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series X versions of Ride 5 will support 60fps at dynamic resolutions up to 4K, as well as online and offline races with up to 20 riders. According to Milestone, motorcycles on next-generation consoles are presented "with the highest quality of shaders and textures", and the environment has "a level of detail never seen before."

On PlayStation 5, download times will be significantly reduced. The game also takes advantage of the DualSense controller's capabilities: the throttle and brake triggers are resisted to "give the same feel as their real-life counterparts", while haptic feedback allows gamers to "feel the vibrations of their motorcycle as they ride through the streets".
