The Google Developers team has announced a major update and enhanced functionality for the digital Assistant, available for Android and iOS mobile platforms.
For the first time Google Assistant was introduced by the company in May 2016, in July 2018 the service received support for the Russian language. In addition to answering search queries and setting reminders, the assistant allows you to make calls, send messages, follow the news, listen to music, report the weather, find the best restaurants and shops, translate words and whole phrases, get directions and solve other daily user tasks. The Google Assistant is currently available on more than a billion devices worldwide.
The updated Google Assistant has received an improved interface and a refined voice engine that voices phrases more realistically and knows almost all homographs (words that are the same in spelling but differ in pronunciation, for example, castle and castle).
