Google taught Chrome to create QR codes from any URL

Google recently introduced a feature to share URLs to other devices that connect to the main one through the Chrome browser and a shared account. Now appeared alternative.

Google taught Chrome to create QR codes from any URL

Chrome Canary build version 80.0.3987.0 added a new flag called “Allow page sharing via QR code.” Enabling it allows you to convert the address of any web page into this type of code, so that you can then scan it with a smartphone or send it to the recipient.

Enabling the flag will add a “Generate QR Code” option to the Chrome context menu, after which it can be downloaded and sent to an address or used on a mobile device. This feature is said to be useful for both individuals and businesses as it provides a simple solution for visiting websites.

For companies, this simplifies the data entry process. After all, a QR code for a company website can simply be printed and hung on the wall. This will allow you to go to the company’s website in a second, without wasting time manually entering the address. This will also allow you to transfer data bypassing your Google account.

And although the feature is currently only available in an early version of the browser, it is obvious that it will soon be released. Maybe even this year.
