Last month, Business Insider reported that Google was planning to cut its laptop and tablet division, which spawned the Pixelbook laptop and Pixel Slate tablet, as part of a "shortening roadmap."
Google initially declined to comment on this post. However, then in an interview with The Verge, the company said that it has no plans to curtail the production of computer devices, its hardware division is actively working and has new models of laptops and tablets on the way.
While Google didn't go into details or timing, it did reveal a new device at Cloud Next 2019 during a session titled "Unveiling Google Hardware for Business" that could offer users a broader range of capabilities than the Pixelbook and Pixel Slate.
