At the Google I / O event, Google introduced its new smartphones Pixel 3A and Pixel 3A XL. The novelties are relatively affordable versions of the flagships Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, respectively, but at the same time they retained the key feature of older models - an excellent camera.
But first, it is worth noting the main difference between new products and flagships. It lies in their platform - at the heart of the Pixel 3A and 3A XL is a 10-nm Snapdragon 670 processor with eight Kryo 360 cores at up to 2,0 GHz and Adreno 615 graphics. The amount of RAM is 4 GB, and 64 GB of built-in flash memory. But there are no slots for memory cards in the new products.
In both new Pixels, the glass on the back has been replaced with plastic. More novelties are deprived of support for wireless charging and protection from dust and moisture. However, they also have one positive difference from the older Pixel 3: in the new smartphones, Google has returned the 3,5 mm headphone jack!
The larger Pixel 3A XL has a 6-inch Full HD+ (2160Γ1080) OLED display, while the smaller Pixel 3A has the same 5,6-inch display. Batteries for 3700 and 3000 mAh, respectively, are responsible for the autonomous operation of smartphones. There is support for 18W fast charging according to the USB Power Delivery standard.
As for the camera, as mentioned above, it is exactly the same in both Pixel 3A as in the older Pixel 3. It is based on a Sony IMX363 image sensor with a resolution of 12,2 megapixels and 1,4 micron pixels, as well as used optics with an aperture of f / 1,8 and there is optical image stabilization. There is support for improved low-light shooting, as well as one of the best portrait modes among all smartphones. The front camera is built on an 8-megapixel sensor.
Google has already started selling smartphones Pixel 3A and Pixel 3A XL. The cost of new products was $399 and $479 respectively. Smartphones will be available in three colors: black, white and light purple.
